The RG400 series grating is a compact grating used for high dynamic and high-precision systems. Its application in single field scanning and low delay subdivision processing give it high dynamic performance. Used for applications that require both performance and cost, achieving an effective balance between performance and product cost.

The RG400 series reading head is compatible with the L4 series ultra-thin stainless steel grid ruler with a grid spacing of 40 μ m. Its expansion coefficient is completely consistent with the substrate, and its excellent corrosion resistance and scratch resistance make it suitable for harsh environmental conditions. The surface of the L4 grid ruler is very tough, so no coating protection is needed to avoid damage to the grid lines. When the grid ruler is contaminated, alcohol can be used for cleaning, and non-polar organic solvents such as acetone and toluene can be used instead of alcohol. The performance of the grid ruler will not be affected after cleaning.

1. Small and compact reading head (32 × 12 × 10.6mm).

A grid ruler with a thickness of 0.1mm has an expansion coefficient consistent with the substrate.

10. A small grid spacing of 40 μ m provides better operating performance than magnetic grids, with low noise and stable speed.

Installation precautions for RG400 reading head

1. The installation of grid rulers must use grid ruler installation tools, and manual installation is prohibited.

2. Due to the possibility of installation stress, it takes 24 hours for precision calibration of the grid ruler after installation, and longer time is required at lower temperatures.

3. For the long-term reliability of the application, the main body of the application (linear motor, machine) needs to

Reliable grounding and shielding are required to prevent interference with the reading head, and the power and signal lines should be arranged as separately as possible.

4. The power supply terminal of the reading head needs to meet 5V ± 10% and the current should not be less than 300mA.

5. The dirt on the grating ruler may cause an increase in output signal noise or position failure, so it is necessary to ensure the cleanliness of the grating ruler. The grating ruler can be cleaned with dust-free paper combined with ethanol and isopropanol.

6. The fixing screw of the reading head must be of the length and torque given in the installation diagram, otherwise it may cause damage or poor fixation of the reading head.
